Process used to recruit our PRG
Our first Patient Reference Group meeting was held in October 2011 and was well attended by 10 members of the group, 1giving apologies, but sending their views by letter.
The Practice Manager and 2 Doctors were also in attendance. Several excellent suggestions for improvement were made by members of the PRG and relevant areas to be addressed in the Patient Satisfaction Questionnaire were agreed. The questionnaire was then devised by the Practice Manager and agreed by the PRG.
How patient’s views were sought
135 questionnaires were completed by patients in December 2011. These were given to patients who attended surgery and some were also e-mailed.
Findings of the survey
The results of the Patient Questionnaire were collated in January 2012 and were then discussed at a PRG meeting in February 2012. The PRG agreed that the results of the survey showed that on the whole the patients are happy with the service provided, but weaker areas highlighted from the questionnaire will be addressed in our action plan for 2012/13.
